Description :
A lovely Eggplant variety from Taiwan that is perfect for hot climates wet or dry where other eggplants may complain. Producing up to 20 eggplants per plant, these 18-24” fruits are tender and sweet, requiring no peeling. Perfect for grilling or frying they take to any dish they find themselves in and lack much of the bitterness that many Italian varieties have. More compact so suitable for pot growing.
Growing Instructions :
Start indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds 1/4” deep in soilless starter mix in cells keeping moist and between 75-85 degrees until germination in 14-21 days. Transplant to 4” when two sets of true leaves are present and plants are safe to work with. Plant in full sun location in rich well-draining soil 1-2 weeks after the last frost date as cold weather slows initial growth significantly. Space plants 24” apart with 24” between rows. Staking required for straight fruit
