The lemon drop pepper is a hot, citrus-like, lemon-flavored pepper which is a popular seasoning pepper in Peru, where it is known as qillu uchu.
Recommended Uses:
Reactions to the taste of the pepper vary from delicious to tasting of hand soap, but the pepper is commonly described as sweet, mildly hot, and tasting of citrus.
Sowing Instructions:
Start indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost in a very warm spot (80 degrees is ideal). Keep Seedlings in a well-ventilated place at 70+ degrees and do not overwater. Transplants outdoors in the full sun into rich, well-drained soil after the threat of frost has passed. Peppers can tolerate dryness and heat, but need moderate water to produce fruit and prefer to be water at the base.
