GENOVESE BASIL. Basil is easy to grow from seed. Does well in containers or in the garden. Genovese basil grows to 24" tall and produces large 2-3" leaves. The leaves are very fragrant with a sweet and spicy taste. Perfect for fresh pesto, salads, and Italian dishes. Pretty much carefree after established. Does well in full sun but will tolerate some shade. Basil doesn't like to be transplanted so try to start your seed in its permanent home.
