BLUE WILD INDIGO. Blue false indigo is a American Native Wildflower. In fact, Europeans used to pay Americans to grow this plant, for the dye they made from the blue flowers. That's why it's called False Indigo. True Indigo was rare and expensive, but Baptisia is easy to grow and was cheap. False indigo is a member of the legume family and is Nitrogen-Fixing. You’ll notice a resemblance to peas in its foliage and flowers, as well as its fondness for cooler weather. This is a long living perennial 10 years plus.50+ Quality seeds per order. Thank You!
