Giant Papyrus, also known as Egyptian Papyrus is a tropical plant with an exotic look and brings a touch of the tropics to your backyard, water garden or patio. Giant Papyrus grows very quickly with large, shaggy green pom poms or plant spikelets, as its foliage.

This pond plant grows well in or out of the pond, roots may be submerged but keep the crown of the plant above water. Containers should be at least 14 inches deep and 16 inches across. You may want to place rocks in the bottom of your planting container to keep a strong wind from upsetting your container.
Use heavy loam soil and fertilize your Giant Papyrus once a month with Fertilizer Tabs + Humates, for optimum growth. Plant in full sun to part shade. Giant Papyrus is a standout as a container plant.
